With CMiC Voice, created with a partnership with Nuance, the leading provider of speech and imaging solutions around the world, users are unchained from the desk and the computer and allow for project information to be entered by voice command.   A Project Manager in the field can call a unique phone number and enter project information, providing up-to-minute updates on the status of the project. This information is transcribed and entered into the CMiC system and accessible by Project Executives in the head office, so everything that happens on the project can be tracked the moment it happens. Since it requires no additional training and is easy to use, CMiC Voice expands the number of users who can update project data.  CMiC Voice creates voice to collaboration and increases the mobility of your organization’s workforce.

Adobe LiveCycle allows users to generate an RFI from a workflow within CMiC Project Management, automatically create and email a subcontractor application for payment and create on demand time sheets with daily cost codes.  With Adobe LiveCycle Reader Extensions, users can interact with forms and capture data while offline.  Users can also electronically sign documents, enabling better security and project-related communications and management.  For situations where a wet signature is required users can also enable an interactive 2D barcode data capture functionality which allows 100% data accuracy while maintaining a signed document of record. The 2D barcode turns a paper process into a digital process without having to re-key data. Adobe LiveCycle also provides extensive Digital Rights Management capabilities, allowing users to add policies to documents allowing the tracking and audit of sensitive documents and protecting intellectual property. 

The driving force behind the open infrastructure of CMiC Open Enterprise v10 is CMiC Real Time Integration (RTI), an application that utilizes the latest XML technology to create connections to outside systems.  CMiC RTI allows for a bi-directional updating of databases, so the CMiC system and the other system, such as a BIM application, are kept in synch and the risk of data loss is eliminated.  Applications, such as Adobe LIveCycle or Optical Character Recognition (OCR) programs or online planrooms can be easily incorporated into the CMiC enterprise, enhancing the business value of those applications and making project data flow in a more natural way.
