CMiC Named One of the Constructech 50

Constructech Magazine awards CMiC for 6th year in a row

TORONTO – July 8, 2010Constructech, the magazine devoted to construction technology, has named CMiC, the leading provider of construction software solutions, one of the Constructech 50 in 2010.  The Constructech 50 is a listing of the most influential construction technology providers with a strong and ongoing market presence. The editors of Constructech chose CMiC based on CMiC’s strong products aimed at the construction industry, ongoing customer satisfaction and growth.

“Some of the largest firms have implemented CMiC, and the provider continues to push the envelope. Following last year’s software-as-a-service offering, CMiC has announced CMiC Open Enterprise v10, which operates on a single database and uses XML to increase interoperability. With advances such as this, along with new partnerships and large implementation projects, CMiC continues to stay on the leading edge,” according to editors at Constructech.

CMiC Open Enterprise v10, the most advanced construction software solution ever created, was introduced in late 2009 and continued to gain momentum in the market as general contractors recognized the solution had an incredibly flexible and open technical infrastructure.  CMiC’s new clients include four companies on ENR’s Top 100 list – Gilbane, Structure Tone, Plaza Construction and Swinerton – as well as leading contractors Pankow and T.B. Penick and two leading international contractors, Contrack International and Servetek. CMiC formed a unique relationship with Constructive Insight that will allow a wider range of contractors, in multiple disciplines, to enjoy the advantages of using CMiC construction software.

“For the editorial team here at Constructech magazine, the Constructech 50 serves as guide for anyone looking for innovative, proven technology within the construction marketplace,” says Mike Carrozzo, chief editor, Constructech. “The members of the list for 2010 definitely embody those criteria, and will be essential solutions for companies looking to improve their business practices.”

“We would like to thank Constructech for naming CMiC one of the hottest companies for 2010,” said Bassem Hamdy, vice president, solutions, CMiC. “As one of the industry’s leading publications, Constructech continues to deliver valuable information and thoughtful insight on issues and trends related to construction and construction technology, and CMiC is proud to be recognized as the leader in providing the only fully integrated software solution for the construction industry that lowers costs and improves productivity.”
