TORONTO – July 7, 2009 – Constructech, the only publication focused exclusively on the technology needs of the construction professional, has named CMiC one of the 50 Hottest Companies of 2009. The Constructech 50 Hottest Companies is a listing of the most influential construction technology providers as determined by the editors of Constructech magazine with assistance from its editorial advisory board.  This is the 5^th year in a row that CMiC has been named a Hottest Company.

The Constructech editorial team considered various criteria when determining the 2009 winners from some 200 considered companies. Some of those criteria included having a strong product/service aimed at the construction industry, customer satisfaction and growth, as well as outreach and educational efforts for the communication industry.

In 2009, CMiC introduced CMiC Now, CMiC’s innovative approach for construction companies to lower overhead costs by up to 70% and reduce support payments by up to 50%. CMiC Real Time Integration (RTI), a tool that allows for the bi-directional updating of databases, has altered collaboration between project stakeholders by providing seamless communication between CMiC and other systems.  CMiC also formed partnerships with two other of Constructech’s 50 Hottest Companies, Vico Software and Textura. The partnership with Vico Software makes BIM available for the entire construction project lifecycle, while the partnership with Textura revolutionizes construction invoicing and payment.  Recent CMiC clients include leading specialty contractors Performance Contracting Group and PIC Group, a global provider of service solutions to the power generation industry.
